The low, rhythmic thumping from next door began just as I was settling in with my book, an unmistakable and familiar soundtrack to another evening on our quiet cul-de-sac. I recognized the lead performer’s voice immediately; it was the unmistakable, enthusiastic cadence of Trina Michaels, whose passionate declarations were never subtle. Her energetic partner in crime was, without a doubt, the indefatigable Keiran Lee, whose presence always guaranteed a marathon session of athletic fervor. This time, however, a new, softer voice joined the symphony, a breathy counterpoint I identified as the charming Holly Wellin. Their chaotic trio wove a tapestry of sound that was impossible to ignore, a cacophony of headboard percussion and ecstatic cries.
