My husband enjoys my infidelity, Scene #1. As I slip off my clothes and step out of the bedroom, he watches me with a smirk on his face. He knows what I’m about to do, but he doesn’t stop me. In fact, he seems to be anticipating it. I make my way downstairs, feeling nervous and excited at the same time. My lover is waiting for me in the living room, his eyes fixed on mine. We kiss passionately, ignoring the sound of footsteps coming closer. Suddenly, there’s a knock on the door. Who is it? I ask, still caught up in the moment. It’s me, my husband says from the other side. Can I come in? Without waiting for an answer, he opens the door and walks into the room. He stands there for a moment, taking in the scene before him. My lover is still kissing me, but now he looks up at my husband with a mix of fear and excitement. What’s going on? my husband asks, his voice calm but his eyes betraying his emotions. I step out from under my lover’s arms and walk over to my husband. I thought you should know, I say, looking into his eyes. I enjoy being with other men. For a moment, there’s silence in the room. Then, my husband smiles. I see, he says. Well, that’s okay with me. As long as you’re happy, I’m fine with it. He turns to leave, but then he stops and looks back at us. But if you ever hurt him, he says, his voice serious now, I won’t be so understanding.
