Scene 3: The Hairy Cougar’s Den As I stepped into the room, I felt a sense of anticipation. The air was thick with the scent of musk and pine, and I could hear the faint rustling of fur as the cats moved about. Janicka had warned me that they were wild animals, but I couldn’t help feeling excited at the prospect of seeing them up close. As I made my way towards the back of the room, I noticed a large wooden crate with a lock on it. Janicka had told me that this was where her most prized possession was kept – a hairy cougar that she had rescued from the wild years ago. I approached the crate slowly, my heart racing as I lifted the lid and peered ide. The cougar looked up at me with piercing eyes, its fur thick and shaggy. I could feel its heat radiating towards me, and I couldn’t help but reach out to touch it. The cougar didn’t seem to mind my intrusion, and I was able to pet it for a few moments before Janicka came in and scolded me for disturbing her animal. But even as she chided me, I couldn’t help feeling a sense of wonder at the sight of this magnificent creature – a symbol of the wild beauty that lay just beyond our doorstep.
