ide the Valedictorians Heart: Scene 1 The first time I saw her, she was walking down the hallway in high heels that made her legs look like a pair of columns. Her hair was pulled up in a messy bun and she had a book tucked under her arm. She wore a simple white dress with a plunging neckline that revealed just enough cleavage to make me catch my breath. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her, even when she turned the corner and disappeared from sight. The next day, we were introduced in class and I noticed right away how intelligent she was. She spoke with confidence and clarity, answering questions without hesitation. But even though she was clearly brilliant, there was something else about her that drew me in – a certain vulnerability that shone through every word she said. As the weeks went by, we grew closer, spending more time together studying and discussing our passions. And while I knew she was out of my league, I couldn’t help but feel like there was something special between us. We were both valedictorians, after all – two achievers who had worked tirelessly to get where we were. But then one day, she told me that she was leaving. She had been accepted to an Ivy League school and was going to move across the country. My heart sank as I realized that I would never see her again. And yet, even in the midst of my sadness, I knew that I would always cherish the memories we had made together. Because no matter what happened, she would forever hold a special place in my heart.
