Down The Hatch 18 Scene 15: Dive Into This Deep Water The air around us is thick with the scent of saltwater and seaweed, and as I step closer to the edge of the dock, my heart rate picks up. It’s not just the fear of falling in that makes me hesitate – although that’s certainly a factor – but also the knowledge that once I take this leap, there’s no turning back. Without another thought, I let go and dive into the cool water below. At first, it feels like an icy shock to my system, but as I slowly begin to sink deeper, I feel myself relaxing into the warmth of the ocean. The water surrounds me, enveloping me in its comforting embrace. As I continue to descend, I catch a glimpse of something moving below me – some strange sea creature, perhaps? But before I can get a closer look, I feel myself being pulled downward, into the depths of the ocean. And then I’m gone.
