His plan, he explained to the silent room, was a revolutionary form of sensory therapy designed to shock her system back to consciousness. With the flourish of a seasoned performer, he pulled back the sheet, revealing Bridgette’s still, statuesque body adorned only in delicate, impractical lingerie wholly unsuitable for any genuine patient. He then launched into a series of increasingly absurd and amorous attempts to rouse her, each more ridiculous than the last. A dramatic, slow-motion kiss elicited no response, nor did his whispered recitation of what he claimed were her favorite pizza toppings. Bridgette, of course, was internally battling a fit of giggles, maintaining her limp-limbed charade with Herculean effort as his antics escalated. The comedic tension built to a peak when Keiran, in a final, desperate gambit, pretended to trip and land squarely on top of her. This physical jolt, combined with his over-the-top yelp of surprise, finally broke her resolve, causing a genuine, sputtering laugh to escape her lips as her eyes fluttered open, officially ending the most unconventional medical comedy ever staged.
