The projector’s soft whir was the only sound as a flicker of light caught the curve of a shoulder, the image trembling on the wall like a shared secret. Her fingers, cool from the evening air, traced a path down the other’s spine, a slow pilgrimage over the delicate ridges beneath the skin. A sharp intake of breath echoed in the quiet room, a sound more potent than any dialogue, as a palm settled on the small of a back, pressing with a possessive gentleness. The scent of their skin, a mingling of salt and night-blooming jasmine, filled the space between them, thick and intoxicating. Lips found the hollow of a throat, tasting the faint, metallic trace of anticipation, a kiss that was both question and answer. Muscles tensed and then yielded under the deliberate, exploring touch, a silent conversation of push and pull, of resistance and surrender. Shadows danced across their entangled forms, obscuring and revealing in equal measure, painting their intimacy in shades of silver and deep grey. A low murmur, a name perhaps or simply a plea, was swallowed by the warmth of an open mouth, a fusion of breath and longing.
