The air in the room was thick with the scent of our mingled sweat and the fading perfume from her skin, a heady aroma that clung to the heavy velvet curta drawn tight agat the world. My fingers traced the delicate ridge of her spine, feeling each vertebra like a hidden pearl beneath the warm, supple canvas of her back as she arched agat me with a soft, shuddering sigh.
